Seven HM Passport Office locations hold Fast Track and Premium appointments. You must book first. There are no walk-ins.

Two kinds of office, and why there are only seven

Appointment offices. These seven are the only places GOV.UK lists for Fast Track and Premium appointments. You book through the official urgent service.

Interview offices. Older guides, including an earlier version of this page, described a wider network of passport interview offices for first adult passports. GOV.UK no longer publishes a list or finder of interview offices. Interviews are arranged by HM Passport Office, often by video, and you are contacted if you need one. See passport interviews.

The offices

GOV.UK lists these locations as the places for urgent appointments. It publishes no street addresses or opening times on that page, so we do not print any. The booking service shows the exact location when you book.

What the offices are for

  • 1 Day Premium: adult renewals only. Your new passport is ready 4 hours after your appointment.
  • 1 Week Fast Track: renewals, personal detail changes, replacements and child passports. A courier delivers it 1 week after your appointment.
  • Not for a first adult passport, and not a place to drop in. See Fast Track and Premium for fees and who can use each.

How to book

  1. Start the official urgent service and answer its eligibility questions.
  2. Book an appointment. You can book up to 3 weeks ahead. Appointments last up to 10 minutes.
  3. Apply and pay online, then bring your identity documents to the appointment.
